Well, college is out, and I have SO MUCH free time, I hardly know what to do with myself now.

One thing I am trying to do is return to some of my old projects pre-college, and apply what art and design skills I have learned. Harder than it sounds, since so much of what I learned at college involved un-learning bad habits.

Also, I've been plugging away at character re-designs, and new characters, and organizing my notes. I've even... *GASP* included some color in them! AH!! I know.

I'll post up my redesigns in a short while. If anyone out there still reads my journals after my lengthy DA hiatus, I'd love to hear your thoughts on them.

I thought I'd keep whomever is still reading up to date. Right now I'm working on a piece that I intend to donate to charity. The piece is complex (and again, for charity), so I'm taking my time with it. So far it's turning out really well! I'm pleased with the progress so far.

I'm not uploading a Work in progress (WiP), because I always seem to stop working on a piece when I show off WiPs. Dunno why. So, I'm beatting myself to the punch.

(Currently, I seem to be... well, not sick, exactly. More like, afflicted. I'm dizzy for no apperent reason, and bed rest doesn't seem to fix the problem. But since so much as tilting my head causes the room to spin wildly, I won't be drawing until the sensation passes.)

If you're curious which charity organisation that I'm donating my work to, it's called Childs Play. Well, Desert Bus Drive for Hope, to be exact (they in turn donate money they raised to Childs Play). They had an art auction this past November, and raised quite a bit of coin for the Kids (Ken Stacy donated his work). I offered to donate something or two for the drive next year (I'm assuming November), and they seemed keen to the idea.  

So that's the plan.

Well, that's the idea, anyway.

I've got some premium going for me, and it's winter break. I hope to get some drawing under my belt before school resumes. I hope you all enjoy my fancy premium.

I must learn how to Master digital painting as many of my favorite DA artists have.

It's funny; I'm not really inspired to succeed at school the same I was at the community college. Maybe because I'm the eldest in my class, and more experienced? I'm hesitant to say, "most talented," as many of them have great talent. Many of them 18-21, I trump them with experience. Wilt at some of their talent.

In the Comm College, there were a few amazing artists that I became attached to, and felt inspired by. I don't have that with my current class. I feel alone, and uninspired. It's strange.

With time, maybe.

Pardon my personal musings. Figured I should update this dealie with something.

Seems every time I proclaim, "I'll be around making new art soon," I turn out to welch on that claim. My bad, folks. I wanna give an update to the life and happenings in my world to anyone that cares. If you don't, this is your stop right here. Thanks for coming. The rest of you, thanks for caring.

So I've been accepted to Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle! WOO! Those of you that know me, know that I live in Seattle. So it's win-win. I'm so very excited, and I'm so very nervous, cause I've slacked HARD on my art recently. I mean, wow. I'm bad, all over again.

I've also been laid off from my job. Woo... less. So the job hunt is on, and I'm desperate enough to apply to some corperate places that make me feel dirty. Nothing that would make you giggle like a teenie-bopper. Just some Bank of America thing that made me feel like I was signing on to a cult (seriously). Desperate times call for desperate messures. And holy hell, if I can cut it as a corperate slut, I really have gone desperate.

I need a new job too. So I can get my private loan to finish off applying to school.

Anyway, I've talked enough. I'll TRY to keep things updated more, but... better not hold your breathe.
