I'm alive! Sorta.

Sorry for the long span of inactivity, and essential hiatus. I've been busy getting sucked into an internet browser game that gradually sucks peoples souls away. I've quit that, and now I've found myself with a deluge of free time! WOO!

I'm reading a great book! "Understanding Comics" by Scott Mccloud. He talks about alot of comicbook theory, it's place in the Art community, and all the inner workings of comics. It's really such a great book for anyone thinking about making comics. One of the final Chapters even talks about the varying degrees of comic artists interest! So in depth and informative. All in comic book format, no less! So great. A big thumbs up, even for the average art buff with little or no interest in comics. I'll be reading his other book, "Making Comics."

I've told alot of people about my interest in going into the comic world, and making a book. Hell, if you're reading this, you've seen at least my cover concept. But I'm not going to make anything official until I'm ready. I want to develop the skills nessessary to build this idea I have. Ideally, this is school. I'm working on that part. But in the meantime, I'm reading books. It was alot of Manga (my idiom of choice), but I had an "uh, duh" moment (which is a ghetto epiphany) and started looking into books writen on the topic. I got the two McCloud books, and one focusing directly on Manga (I think it's made by the same people that write the "How to draw Manga" books), and one abstract book on design.

So maybe I'll post some work I did while in school while I read these books. Yaknow, just to keep up with the site. I'm betting I've lost all people that were interested in my work by now, huh?

PS: In the span of the previous entry to this one, I've gotten a new bike, gotten into shape, forced to hang up up my bike due to the weather, and gotten out of shape because of it. Well, I'm still in better shape than before I started working out. I miss good weather. I'm eagerly awaiting spring.
